Holy Bible: Uninvented
Why The Bible Could Not Be Made Up, and The Evidence That Proves It
We’re all familiar with the phrase, “You just can’t make this stuff up!” but few of us would apply it to our Bibles, or even realize we can. The default position of our secular culture is the Bible is made up in whole or in part. Most Christians do not realize this position can be challenged by a simple question: Could it be?
The answer from the secularist is, of course it could! But as you’ll learn in Uninvented, the answer is not so simple. When we read the stories in our Bibles, they don’t read like made up stories, or the myths and legends the critics insist they are.
Embrace The Suck! The Gravitational Pull of Sin
I apologize for the semi-vulgarity, but this has become something of a favorite phrase of mine of late. I guess it’s because life can so often seem so sucky to us. Things...
Why I Love Hymns, And You Should, Too!
I’m one of a rare breed, those who love hymns, and will only go to a church where hymns are sung. When we were younger and moved to a new state (which has happened four...
How Do We Measure Up When the Trust Challenge Comes?
As I've grown older and God has mercifully continued to work his amazing process of sanctification in me, I've realized the number one sin of my existence has nothing to do...
The Bee Nails It: ‘Why Do Good Things Happen At All?’ Asks Atheist Struggling With His Faith
If I had to play a one-note Samba in apologetics it would be the consideration of the Alternative. In my last post I mentioned a Christian who advertised his...
Another “Deconversion” Story: What About the Resurrection?
It seems deconversions, from Christianity, are a popular thing now. Those that get attention on the Internet are people who are well known for one reason or another, and...
Tim Keller’s Unfortunate Moral Equivalence Between Left and Right
I love and respect Tim Keller, immensely. Not only was he our pre-marital counselor when my wife and I were in seminary back in 1987, but his teaching has been a significant...

Thank you for visiting my website. For background, I grew up Catholic, for which I am grateful, as it prepared me to receive the truth of God’s word when it was presented to me from a Protestant perspective. Growing up in the Los Angeles area, I went to Arizona State University in 1978, and moved into a dorm room next to two Jesus freaks, as I thought of them at the time. They invited me to a Bible study by asking if I would like to learn what the Bible had to say about who Jesus is.
Because of several things that happened throughout my teenage years (without getting into how God had prepared me for that moment), that was the perfect question to ask me. Despite having gone to church every Sunday for as long as I can remember, hearing readings from and sermons on Scripture, Jesus was an enigmatic figure to me. For whatever reason (and I do not blame the Catholic church or the church we attended), I had not up to that time been given ears to hear or eyes to see. The seeds of God, however, had been adroitly planted by the Holy Spirit in my soul throughout my young life.
