Holy Bible: Uninvented
Why The Bible Could Not Be Made Up, and The Evidence That Proves It
We’re all familiar with the phrase, “You just can’t make this stuff up!” but few of us would apply it to our Bibles, or even realize we can. The default position of our secular culture is the Bible is made up in whole or in part. Most Christians do not realize this position can be challenged by a simple question: Could it be?
The answer from the secularist is, of course it could! But as you’ll learn in Uninvented, the answer is not so simple. When we read the stories in our Bibles, they don’t read like made up stories, or the myths and legends the critics insist they are.

Ideas for blog posts often seem to come when I start praying in the morning. As has been my habit for almost seven years, every morning I wrestle my way through a text of...
What Does it Mean for a Christian to Live in Hope?
1984 ain't got nothin' on 2020! And now, apparently, 2021. While this is a blog committed to Christian apologetics, the defense of the truth claims of Christianity, it is...

Every Birth is as Miraculous as the Virgin’s Birth
Since this is Christmas, and we’re focused on the miraculous birth of a baby over 2,000 years ago, a baby who would be the Savior of the world, I thought it an opportunity to broaden our focus on the one who made that birth possible.
Notable Quotation
These medieval attitudes contrast sharply with our own. We have fewer plagues but more wars and of a far bloodier nature. Our approach is to hide death. It is another of our...

Thank you for visiting my website. For background, I grew up Catholic, for which I am grateful, as it prepared me to receive the truth of God’s word when it was presented to me from a Protestant perspective. Growing up in the Los Angeles area, I went to Arizona State University in 1978, and moved into a dorm room next to two Jesus freaks, as I thought of them at the time. They invited me to a Bible study by asking if I would like to learn what the Bible had to say about who Jesus is.
Because of several things that happened throughout my teenage years (without getting into how God had prepared me for that moment), that was the perfect question to ask me. Despite having gone to church every Sunday for as long as I can remember, hearing readings from and sermons on Scripture, Jesus was an enigmatic figure to me. For whatever reason (and I do not blame the Catholic church or the church we attended), I had not up to that time been given ears to hear or eyes to see. The seeds of God, however, had been adroitly planted by the Holy Spirit in my soul throughout my young life.
