Holy Bible: Uninvented
Why The Bible Could Not Be Made Up, and The Evidence That Proves It
We’re all familiar with the phrase, “You just can’t make this stuff up!” but few of us would apply it to our Bibles, or even realize we can. The default position of our secular culture is the Bible is made up in whole or in part. Most Christians do not realize this position can be challenged by a simple question: Could it be?
The answer from the secularist is, of course it could! But as you’ll learn in Uninvented, the answer is not so simple. When we read the stories in our Bibles, they don’t read like made up stories, or the myths and legends the critics insist they are.
Eusebius’ “Church History”: Where Exactly is our Home?
I've always been a big history guy, but had never read Eusebius: The Church History until recently. As with almost everything in my life now, I had apologetic motivations...
God’s Plan: Turning Everything Upside Down to Make them Right Side Up
I was reminded while reading Luke 8 recently, that God throughout Scripture, and ultimately in Christ, is completely counter cultural to all fallen cultures. Notice in this...
“that all of them may be one . . .”
These words of Jesus come from what's known as his "high priestly prayer" in John 17 where he prays before his crucifixion not only for his disciples, but for those who...
Reflections on the Suicide of a Megachurch Pastor
Life can be so ineffably sad sometimes, and when I recently read about the suicide of a high-profile pastor I couldn't get it out of my mind. It made me angry even as it...
It’s So Hard to Believe, But It Is So Hard Not to Believe
This phrase came to mind the other day as our family got word that my wife's beloved stepmother, Dora Walston Haggard, had died unexpectedly. She had been going through some...
American young couple, who don’t believe in evil, stabbed to death by ISIS while biking near Afghanistan
When I read the title of this post at WhatfingerNews, I thought for sure it had to be an Onion article. It's gotta be satire, right? Wrong. A couple, postmodern relativist...

Thank you for visiting my website. For background, I grew up Catholic, for which I am grateful, as it prepared me to receive the truth of God’s word when it was presented to me from a Protestant perspective. Growing up in the Los Angeles area, I went to Arizona State University in 1978, and moved into a dorm room next to two Jesus freaks, as I thought of them at the time. They invited me to a Bible study by asking if I would like to learn what the Bible had to say about who Jesus is.
Because of several things that happened throughout my teenage years (without getting into how God had prepared me for that moment), that was the perfect question to ask me. Despite having gone to church every Sunday for as long as I can remember, hearing readings from and sermons on Scripture, Jesus was an enigmatic figure to me. For whatever reason (and I do not blame the Catholic church or the church we attended), I had not up to that time been given ears to hear or eyes to see. The seeds of God, however, had been adroitly planted by the Holy Spirit in my soul throughout my young life.
